Arpal Wood Chippers & Shredders

Heavy-duty branch chippers and shredders, manufactured in-house in Vinnytsia, Ukraine — built for real work: storm cleanup, land management, and solid-fuel boiler feedstock.

We're not taking orders right now. Add your name and we'll reach out first when US imports resume.

Two kinds of machines, two kinds of output

AM chippers — chunkwood billets

Feed branches and slabs; get back coarse chunks of roughly 10 cm. In Ukraine this "chunkwood" is standard fuel for solid-fuel and pyrolysis boilers. It also works as charcoal feedstock or a mulch base.

M-series shredders — calibrated chips

Produce fine, uniform chips (5–50 mm, depending on model and sieve) for boiler fuel, mulch, or compost — a more processed output for buyers who need consistency.

A note on terminology: these are not firewood processors. In the US, "firewood processor" means a machine that cuts logs and hydraulically splits them into cordwood. Arpal machines chip or shred branches — a different job, honestly described.

The machines

Six models selected as the most relevant for North American buyers. Specifications are the manufacturer's published figures from arpal.ua. US pricing will be announced when imports resume — factory prices in Ukraine are not US prices.

PTO-driven — run off your tractor (no engine, no emissions certification needed)

PRO line · Chipper

AM-120TR

Drive
Tractor PTO, 24+ HP
Max branch
120 mm / 4.7″
Output
~10 cm chunkwood billets

The flagship pick for the US compact-tractor segment — no engine means no EPA hurdles, and 24+ HP tractors are the most common size in North America.

Classic line · Chipper

AM-80TR

Drive
Tractor PTO, 16+ HP
Max branch
80 mm / 3.1″
Throughput
≈ 4 m³/h

The entry point for subcompact-tractor owners — a huge segment in the US — with real build quality behind it.

PRO line · Shredder

MK-120TR

Drive
Tractor PTO, 24+ HP
Max branch
120 mm / 4.7″
Output
Calibrated chips, 5–50 mm (disc-type)

For buyers who need uniform chips — boiler fuel, mulch, compost. Few sub-$2,000-class PTO shredders exist stateside.

Gasoline-powered — self-contained, no tractor required

Classic line · Chipper

AM-80BD

Drive
Gasoline, 7 HP (Weima)
Max branch
80 mm / 3.1″
Throughput
Up to 4 m³/h

The homeowner and small-property pick. US availability of gasoline models depends on emissions certification — see FAQ.

Light line · Chipper

AM-60BD

Drive
Gasoline, 7 HP (Weima)
Max branch
60 mm / 2.4″
Throughput
≈ 2 m³/h

Compact and light-duty for regular pruning and yard cleanup where a tractor isn't in the picture.

Classic line · Shredder

MS-80BD

Drive
Gasoline, 7 HP class
Max branch
90 mm / 3.5″
Output
15 / 20 / 25 mm sieves

Twin-hopper design takes branches, leaves, vines, and bark — the versatile yard-waste machine.

About Arpal

Arpal has manufactured wood-processing equipment in Vinnytsia, Ukraine since 2013 — the full production cycle in-house, from metalworking to assembly.

Arpal states that its equipment is exported to 25 countries and used by more than 200 Ukrainian municipalities and utilities for branch disposal, storm cleanup, and boiler-fuel production. (Export figures are the manufacturer's claims.)

ARPAL USA is the exclusive North American distributor. Our job is straightforward: bring the machines over, stand behind them with US-based parts and warranty support, and be honest about what they are and aren't.

Right now that job is on hold — the war has disrupted manufacturing and supply at the factory. We're keeping this site live, keeping the waitlist open, and we'll be ready when conditions allow.

Frequently asked questions

Are you selling machines right now?

No. US imports are on hold until further notice because the ongoing situation in Ukraine has disrupted manufacturing and supply. We won't take your money for a machine we can't deliver. Join the waitlist and you'll be first to know when imports resume.

When will imports resume?

Honestly, we can't give a timeline. It depends on conditions at the factory in Vinnytsia stabilizing enough for reliable production and export. We'll update waitlist members directly — no vague "soon."

What about warranty and parts?

The factory offers a 3-year warranty on major components (blades, belts, and clutch cams — the wear parts — are excluded, and gasoline engines carry a separate 1-year engine-manufacturer warranty). When US sales begin, warranty and parts support will be administered in the US, not shipped from Ukraine.

Are these firewood processors?

No — and we won't market them as such. A US firewood processor cuts logs and hydraulically splits them into cordwood. Arpal's AM chippers turn branches into coarse fuel chunks ("chunkwood") for solid-fuel boilers; the M-series shredders make fine calibrated chips. Different machines, different jobs.

Will the gasoline models be available in the US?

That's still to be determined. Gasoline-powered equipment needs US emissions certification (EPA, and CARB for California) before it can legally be imported and sold. The PTO-driven models carry no engine and don't face that hurdle, which is why they're our lead candidates.

I'm a dealer. Should I get in touch?

Yes — select "Dealer inquiry" on the waitlist form. We're not appointing dealers while imports are paused, but we're collecting interest for when that changes.
